Pink (real name is Alecia Moore) was born on the 8th of September in 1979 in Doylestown, not far from Philadelphia. Love to music, grafted her parents in childhood, predetermined her life endeavors and priorities. At 13 years old Pink began to appear in one club, where made acquainted with local dancer named Scratch. Pink started to dance with him and also sang in his rap band Schools of Thought.

Pink initiated to compose songs at 14 y.o., but in studio she behaved uneasily. At the same time Alecia felt free in club. “Every Friday I came to the club Fever, and deejay allowed me to sing a couple of songs, – Pink says. – These five minutes were the most wonderful in my life. To stay on scene – almost a drug for me, I feel good only there.”
One day man from MCA came to the club that was seeking for performer for participation in new rhythm and blues group. He liked Pink, and he asked her to come for audition for participation in Basic Instinct band. After group breakup Pink joined to Choice team and soon the group signed the contract with label LaFace. During studio work in Atlanta Pink again began to compose songs and met Darrell Simmons.
“He asked me to write burden for song Just To Be Loving You, and I thought it was cool, nobody and never asked me to compose something. I closed my eyes, and that came to me. From this moment my career bega, – Pink says. – He also was delighted with my vocal faculties. As far back as I worked in club I managed to imitate voice of other people. But on that day, when we began to record Just To Be Loving You, I simply singed, and it turned out so nice that I was impressed very much.”
Pink began to compose songs to fulfill her vocal abilities and her feverish passion to rhythm and blues. In the beginning of 2000 singer released her debut single There U Go that opened her both performer and author talent.
In spring Pink debut album Can’t Take Me Home is released. Soon it became twice platinum. Three singles from this disc – There U Go, Most Girls and You Make Me Sick entered in the first ten songs in USA. Singer provided series of concerts singing on the “warming up” of N Sync show. In the beginning of the next year Pink got down to work on the next album.
